I want to give The Inventure Zone a proper shoutout because every time I see a piece they’ve made it feels like I’m in an alternate universe where TAZ was a children’s fantasy book series from the 1940s and somehow several paperbacks ended up in my childhood home from a time my parents picked them up in a thrift store and I pored over the illustrations even though I didn’t/couldn’t read the story and now I’m reliving the nostalgia. You know?

I live! And finally found a little free time now that the first Sybal Heim comic is done! And I decided to use my free time last night to finally draw my favorite Wizard Rowdy Boy- Taako!
For those of you who don’t know, I am a big fan of the Adventure Zone, and the Mcelroy bros in general, and I’d been wanting to take a stab at drawing a couple of the TAZ characters. And since Taako is my favorite, he gets to go first! If I get a little more time for these, I think I’d actually like to do Angus next.
Continuing my Adventure Zone art shenanigans, because you all had such a lovely response to my Taako design! I know I said I was going to draw Angus next, but when I sat down to sketch last night I had a song in my heart. And that song was the Fantasy Costco theme, so ya’ll are getting Garfield instead. Haha! I am absolutely one of the people who can’t help but see Garfield as a cat, but as much as the “necromancer lasagna cat” makes me laugh, I wanted to actually design a specific character for him. Because I am terribly fascinated by Garfield’s character and ngl every time he comes around I laugh so much. Good good weird creepy cat wizard man.
