A Minecraft role player decides to make it canon that he can hear the voices of his chat in-world so that he can break the 4th wall during live streams.
So then, much later, he’s doing a lore stream where he’s talking to a mysterious eldritch entity shaped like an egg, that can control people and talk in their minds. He starts playing audio clips of the “voice” of the egg that’s trying to take over and control him.
And then chat, fully aware that they’re a character in this world that he can hear, starts spamming donations with messages like “no room for another voice in here” and “get your own” and “bad egg” so that the donation alert drowns out the eldritch being.
And I lost it.
I know this wasn’t planned, because he turned off the donation alerts so they could do the scene, but I will honestly never be over how absolutely perfectly 4th-wall-breaking and the narrative lined up and how funny it was to watch live. Story moments you can’t get in any other art form.
