Hi everyone! The post about a mass collab to write a fic titled after every Hermitgang lyric gained quite some traction so here it is! :)
Every lyric is assigned a code which you’ll be able to put down in the sign up form once it releases. You’ll be putting down your preferred lyric(s), how many fics you’re willing to write, whether you’re willing to be allocated lyrics no one wants, etc. Once the sign up form is closed, I’ll be allocating the lyrics. If multiple people choose the same lyric, it’ll be randomised / given to an impartial observer to allocate. Then, you’ll be able to see which lyric you’re allocated when it’s updated in the Google Sheet above.
Feel free to change capitalisation, punctuation and minor wording of your lyric, the one above is just a template so we know which lyric is claimed by who.
Once the lyrics are allocated, you can negotiate with other authors to swap lyrics / change lyric breakdowns.
Detailed rules are in the Google Sheets but here are the basic rules:
1. No NSFW
2. Shipping is allowed, but has to be tagged
3. Works that use the Archive Warning tags of: Underage, Rape/Non-con, Graphic Depictions of Violence are not allowed
4. Minimum 500 words, no maximum
5. This is a Hermitcraft fanfic collaboration. The fic must be posted on Archive Of Our Own. Crossovers are allowed, but the focus must be on the hermits. When writing about a hermit’s dynamic with non-hermits, the fic must be hermit-centric. Writing hermits in non-Hermitcraft settings (eg. AUs, Third Life SMP, MCC) is allowed, but there must be explicit references to Hermitcraft. You do not necessarily have to include the hermit who sang the line in your fic.
6. This is a for fun project and we mean no pressure at all, but we have a soft deadline at around September / mid September, and then we’ll put the fics in an ao3 collection / series.
