i think that there’s a chance it would fuck things up - they said that gapples are banned cause they mess with the hearts system, and totems also give extra hearts, so they might fall into the same area as gapples. but they might not!!! only one way to find out :]

there’s an extra angle to the Scott, Cleo, Martyn, Pearl poly divorce arc that’s hilarious, which is that tactically, it’s probably actually pretty smart to NOT be where your soulmate is at all times, if you’re together and you get attacked, you’re both running, neither of you will have time to eat, but if only one is getting attacked and the other is miles away? The person who’s away can eat food or a golden apple or drink some healing potions (mostly eat though, since apparently there’s no brewing potions or crafting gapples so they’d just have what they find but still)

Or, if someone sets you a tnt trap at your home…. if you live together you might both be caught in it and the combined damage might kill you when a single person could have survived

So the divorce might actually? be good for their health?
