I am begging people that before you make the joke about not caring about the one person you don’t know on an MCC team, maybe double check to make sure you’re not humorously mispronouncing the name/hilariously erasing the existence of the one person of colour/LGBTQIA person/woman on the team.

Just continuously so enamoured with the idea of Etho in MCC. The reaction from the new fandom people going “who”? The reaction from OG fandom people going “THAT IS THE ETHOSLAB YOU RESPECT HIS NAME”. Finding out which CCs are secret ethoslab fans by how much they panic and fanboy at him. The rush for screenies in the lobby. Refusing to change his skin to team colours. Cheerfully being at the bottom of the rankings for a few rounds and then somehow finding a way to break the game in a new way. The reaction from his teammates as he makes a “your mom” joke. The reaction from mister “don’t ask for likes” as his teammates do things like ask for primes. It’s just such a good idea. I think it should happen.

someone did the math and apparently techno fans are responsibly for about 53% of the 4k+ raised already.
Currently the total is $6,701.76, and people who have explicitly put a techno reference in their donation mention have raised $4,180.69, which is 62.4%.
We’re up to $10,432.99, and people who have put a techno reference in their donation have raised $7,290.69, which is 69.88%.
We hit the second goal with a total raised so far of $15,203.86, and people who put a techno reference in their donation have raised $10,606.36, which is 69.70%.
Okay I think this is my last update (possibly until after the tourney?) because the donations are starting to move so fast now that I’m not sure I was accurate in getting all of them. But. We’ve raised $33,199.36, of which techno references were made in 21348.21, which is 64.30%.
Interestingly, a lot of those were little donations. 1 dollar, 2 dollars, 5 dollars. And then also the current top donation.

Given how absolutely atrocious Twitter is being, I hope we’re all agreed that we’re going to shake some monies out of the back of the couch and donate the hell out of Pride MCC? People boycotting because DreamTeam aren’t going to be there? People sending hate to the organizers because Techno is in it? People trending hate for Techno because he dares to be in a charity tournament? People saying it doesn’t count as real charity, when the minimum donation they’re making is 100k from youtube, and then donations during the tournament? I was going to donate anyways, but at this point I’m going to dip into my food budget.
