etho moving into the Tree of Whimsy Lore Basement after getting himself exiled (and un-exiled) by a bdubs-crowned king right after bdubs makes Ren king and gives him the top of the monolith. it’s like if you went into a skyrim dungeon and there’s LITERALLY just some guy squatting there. not fantasy some guy like a regular person with a couch and a mini fridge just chilling in an ancient temple. I love everything abt this set up

That guy is also an anime character

Watching Bdubs episode with my roommate who doesn’t know.

(Her favourite hermits are Beef and Etho and she watches hermitcraft specifically because no lore, and she is Not happy. Uh-oh.)

Grian destroying builds to get blocks for the escape rocket. Oh it’s serious now.

THAT’S HOW THEY END? WITH A DROP?

I now understand the shipping.

Watching Bdubs now. He’s talking about what a lovely day it is.

Getting the world record on an empty server is something that can be so emotions.

I need to go take a fuckin walk or something, what the hell. How is this family friendly.

I would do damage to know if Cleo placed that “did you get everything you needed” sign intentionally or if it was unrelated.

I cannot tell you how much I’m into this “human sacrifice as ordered by mysterious voices” thing that Ren and Doc are doing.

Bdubs sat on the side of the path to his moon base.

Moon base, huh. Seemed like a cool idea at the start, before. Well. This. Now it just feels horribly ironic in the worst way.

Everyone else had left. Most of them, anyway. But he hadn’t prepared and so he was here. Oh well. It’s too late to start doing anything about it now. Maybe if he tried he could get himself a nice hole in the ground but the way things are going, that would probably end badly.

He reaches up to pet Lulu’s nose as he looks up at the sky. Chunks of the ground and buildings were flying up to the moon, which was now essentially an asteroid. Did the dinosaurs feel this way? A hollow sort of fear, an empty dread of knowing you can’t do anything about your own extinction as you see the flames start to spark at the edge of the moon. That’s what Bdubs feels now. Empty dread. He can’t bring himself to really panic.

He sort of wishes he’d been able to get Squawkers and Lulu on Scar’s thing, but, well. Too late for regrets. At least they’re here with him. At least it’ll be quick for them all.

He startles when he hears an explosion in the distance. Looking over, he sees it’s come from Keralis’s place, some sort of launch mechanic to get onto his space station. Bdubs wonders idly why he waited so long. Wonders why he wasn’t invited on board. Probably assumed he had plans. Oh well.

And he watches Keralis go up and then….down. Must’ve not been enough power. Bdubs winces as he imagines the look of panic on the other man’s face. It’s too far away to see, but he can picture it. Poor guy. There’s a different type of fear when your safety net breaks, and Bdubs counts himself lucky that he doesn’t have to deal with that.

The moon is getting ever closer. It lights up the night sky. Beautiful, in a cosmically terrifying way.

Bdubs turns towards Keralis’s island.

Keralis is looking back.

Bdubs can’t see the other man’s expression, probably he can’t see him either, but he smiles anyway. Waves. They aren’t alone, at least.

It’s too long to try and get over there. Too late for any of that. But at least they’re here, aren’t they? Two of the three Big Eyes, together at the end. Nice, isn’t it?

Bdubs glances back at the sky. It’s fire and rock now. Screaming wind and heat. Here it comes.

He looks back at Keralis (who looks frozen solid, poor guy) and waves once more.

“See you soon!” He shouts across the ocean. He can’t hear himself. Keralis can’t hear him.

But it’s nice to have said something.
