I have three theories on why sprinkle the weasel is “ok”
1: Artagan is holding him in every fight
2: Artagan is replacing sprinkle with identical weasels, like a gold fish
3: he has just made himself a weasel at this point and the original has been missing for months now
Consider: Artagan has been a stand-in Sprinkle for several months because Jester forgot him in his little home at the Xhorhaus and he didn’t want her to panic
so how did Frumpkin, a fae shaped into the form of a cat, feel about traveling around with an archfey shaped in the form of a weasel? was it like constantly having your boss looking over your shoulder while you try and fail at basic tasks (ie, perception checks)? or was it fae-to-fae communication clown hours at all times?
I mean I’m HOPING that he died right next to the beacon, and thus will be reborn? And idk, he died before charm wore off, so maybe in two years there’ll be a tiny drow baby who is friends with Molly?
