Okay the art on Pinterest was unfortunately not linked (because Pinterest is a bitch) but I managed to trace the art back to the original artist on Reddit (turns out the art was actually an osmp!Tommy art. Anyways enjoy the confusion of the Pinterest folks

my current interpretation of empires joel is that he’s just some dude who stumbled across a magical fountain and asked for all the things humans ask for, inadvertently earning himself an unplayable debt to a yet unknown god. joel however does genuinely believe he has achieved some sliver of godhood because he’s tall and hot now and most people just take his word for it
