I am one of the mods over at @pinchhitsfromthevoid (it’s fun, join us), where we started pinch-hitting for a gift exchange and just didn’t stop. We’re doing it as an ongoing prompt challenge now. It’s fun, join us.
Anyways, aside from asking if you’d be interested in joining us (join us), the real reason I am writing this question is the prompts. We need prompts!
The way we’re running this prompt challenge with pitch hits as though they were gift exchange requests from a parallel universe (from the void, as you will), so we actually need those gift exchange requests. There’s a fair few that have been submitted by the mods in various hats, but I can only close my eyes and try my best to be really into mianite and fill out a gift exchange form so many times.
If you would be interested in getting art or fic to a prompt you offer (500 word minimum for fic, decent sketch for art, totally for free and just dropped in your mentions one afternoon), please come help us and submit a gift request here.
Submit several gift requests! Make us write that obscure crossover you’ve been wanting! (We had one person request something with literally nothing on the archive, so people are definitely getting extra points for that one.) Request content for your favourite (boundary-respecting) ship! (Not enough griandubs on the dash? You can fix that.) Select absolutely everthing on the list and tell people “have fun”! (There is a great joy in offering really specific prompts, but isn’t it fun to request something just as vauge and unformed as a fog bank and seeing what happens, too?)
Get people to visit your blog and try to divine your wants and fears, or submit entirely anon and then retreat back into the shadows cackling at what thou hath wrought!
