ok i just started watching hermitcraft and do people on the server just like. respect the honor system? if someone on the dream smp left a minecart full of mending books with a paper that said “3 diamonds per book” unattended, they would come back to find all the books stolen and probably the minecart and chest stolen too.
yep they play by gentleman’s rules, people will absolutely respect that rule!
in hermitcraft, if they say a building is a vault, they make up a whole spy scene in which they try to infiltrate the vault and break in. they don’t simply break the blocks with a pickaxe.
meanwhile in dream smp, to have an unbreakable prison, they made it so that it is actually impossible for someone to escape the prison if they try
the honor code extends to things like not brute-forcing through iron piston doors if you don’t know the proper code to get through and replacing all of someone’s items if you accidentally cause them to die and lose their stuff.
grian blew up rendog’s stuff in a mini game by accident and replaced his entire set of max-enchanted netherite armor and tools as an apology.
