The onion isnt even in the vicinity of fucking around

I really wondered what parody like The Onion would do when Trump took over and reality went sideways, but I gotta say I am filled with respect for them, for they have shown themselves not only masters of their craft but they’re leaning heavy into the waves to do actual news. They’re not only finding ways to highlight the warps in front of us, they’re taking those warps apart. 

I can’t wait to be like 85 and for The Onion to be a serious, hard hitting journalistic publication and I get to tell my grandkids it started out as an absurdist satirical comedy site but then real life gly so ridiculous that they just went “welp better do some journalism!”
