Isn’t there a word about being compelled to do something against your will? Call me silly but I was under the impression that this is, you know, generally a bad thing.

I’m sorry that “saying you should care about people and not be a selfish asshole” is such an oppressive and awful thing to hear. Life must be a real struggle for you, having been attacked by things like Mr. Rogers and Sesame Street as a child.

God, living under industrial capitalism has turned so many people into hungry ghosts - all they know is their right to consume, damn everything else. The right to consume is the central freedom under capitalism.
